The General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic – Cabinet Affairs has issued directives aimed at regulating the process of providing fuel to government vehicles and streamlining procedures related to official travel assignments.
Under these directives, public entities are required to submit official travel assignment requests to the Ministry of Energy , specifying the required fuel quantities, within the limits of the appropriations allocated for fuel in their respective budgets, without the need to refer such requests to the Directorate of Government Vehicles and Transport Affairs, effective May 1, 2026.
In the event that the appropriations allocated for fuel are exhausted, the concerned public entity shall address the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic – Cabinet Affairs to obtain the necessary approval for increasing the appropriations allocated for this item, following consultation with the Ministries of Finance and Energy.
These measures aim to streamline administrative procedures and regulate the provision of fuel for government vehicles and official travel assignments.
