Latakia dam reserves rise to over 65% as the irrigation season nears its end

Data from the Latakia Water Resources Directorate indicates that storage levels in the governorate's dams have reached 65.01% of total capacity as the irrigation season draws to a close. This provides a water reserve that allows for the management of remaining needs based on priorities and actual water availability.
Current storage stands at approximately 238.2 million cubic meters out of a total capacity of 366.45 million cubic meters, while the volume of unused capacity is around 128.2 million cubic meters.
The Mashqita Dam leads the list of dams in terms of storage volume, followed by the Tarjano and Al-Huwayz dams. The remaining volume is distributed among the Balouran, Salah al-Din, Beit Rihan, and Al-Haffah dams, as well as several other surface dams.
These water volumes are particularly significant at this stage, as they are crucial for managing the remainder of the irrigation season and ensuring the continued supply of water to agricultural areas in accordance with approved plans.
