Rehabilitation of 41 Damaged Water Stations in Deir ez-Zor

Project to Rehabilitate Damaged Water Stations in Deir ez-Zor Following Rising Euphrates Water Levels

The General Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater in Deir ez-Zor, in cooperation with the “Furat” Program and with support from the U.S. Department of State, has begun implementing a project to maintain and rehabilitate damaged water stations across the governorate.

The project aims to rehabilitate 41 stations that were taken out of service following the previous rise in the Euphrates River’s water level, in addition to other stations requiring urgent maintenance, while providing the necessary materials to support the company’s operations.

The company has completed the fourth phase of its plan, which focused on the stations most in need, and is currently continuing work under the fifth phase. Pumps and motors have been dismantled and transported to maintenance centers for the required repairs, with their return to service expected next week.
