Minister of Energy Reviews the "National Energy Information System" to Boost Management Efficiency and Decision-Making

Minister Eng. Mohammad Al-Bashir reviewed a technical presentation on the National Energy Information System, in the presence of his deputies, Mr. Ghiath Diab (Oil Affairs), Eng. Ousama Abu Zaid (Water and Electricity Affairs), and Eng. Ibrahim Al-Adhan (Planning and Institutional Excellence Affairs). The session was attended by several CEOs and Directors-General of affiliated companies, institutions, and authorities, alongside central directors handling digital transformation, data management, and energy sectors.

During the presentation, Eng. Abdul Karim Al-Jaafar, Director of Technology and Digital Transformation, outlined the system’s vision as a unified national digital platform for data across the oil, gas, electricity, water, and mining sectors. It consolidates data sources within an integrated digital environment, offering instant access to operational metrics and empowering decision-making through advanced analytical tools.

The meeting reviewed the system's primary modules, which feature a national data portal, interactive dashboards, geographic mapping, and a project management system. These modules facilitate performance metric tracking, spatial data visualization, project execution monitoring, and real-time executive report generation.

Eng. Al-Jaafar highlighted that the system offers over 360 performance indicators alongside advanced analytical capabilities and real-time alerts. This supports strategic planning, reinforces data governance, and strengthens integration across the ministry’s various directorates and affiliated entities.

Attendees emphasized the importance of advancing digital transformation projects and expanding information systems, acknowledging their crucial role in improving administrative efficiency, enhancing the national data landscape, and driving the ministry's vision to build an advanced digital ecosystem for the energy sector
