1. President Ahmad Al-Sharaa received a delegation from the American company Chevron at the People's Palace in Damascus, headed by Frank Mount, Head of Corporate Business Development, in the presence of Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani, Minister of Energy Eng. Mohammad Al-Bashir, and Syrian Petroleum Company CEO Eng. Youssef Qablawi.
2. The CEO of the Syrian Petroleum Company discussed with Chevron representatives mechanisms for transforming the memorandum of understanding on offshore exploration in Block No. 1 into an executive contract, as well as opportunities for cooperation on the Kirkuk–Baniyas oil pipeline project and future prospects in the oil and gas sectors.
3. Minister of Energy Eng. Mohammad Al-Bashir issued a decision establishing the Permanent Committee for Petroleum Products and Mineral Resources Pricing to enhance governance and transparency in pricing mechanisms. The committee includes representatives from relevant ministries and institutions and is tasked with studying price determinants and proposing periodic updates.
4. Minister of Energy Mohammad Al-Bashir met with Finance Minister Dr. Mohammad Yosr Barnieh to discuss financial matters related to the Ministry’s work and ways to strengthen coordination between the two ministries.
5. The Permanent Committee for Petroleum Products and Mineral Resources Pricing held its first meeting, during which it reviewed pricing mechanisms and economic indicators. The committee recommended adopting the Syrian pound in all domestic petroleum product sales transactions, a recommendation approved by the Minister of Energy.
6. Syrian Petroleum Company CEO Eng. Youssef Qablawi stated that agreements with ConocoPhillips and Novatera Energy aim to increase Syrian gas production by 4–5 million cubic meters per day within one year, improving energy efficiency and electricity supplies.
7. Eng. Youssef Qablawi inaugurated a new steam boiler at Homs Refinery with a capacity of 25 tons per hour to support production units and stabilize refining operations.
8. The Ministry of Energy announced that maintenance teams restored ten drinking water stations across the Deir ez-Zor countryside after river levels and operating conditions returned to normal.
9. The Water Resources Directorate in Aleppo confirmed the readiness of the Japanese pumping station within the East Maskanah project, ensuring irrigation for approximately 18,000 hectares in Aleppo and Raqqa.
10. The Raqqa Water Resources Directorate completed maintenance and rehabilitation works on irrigation networks, including repairs to canals, hydraulic facilities, roads, and more than 40 gates and water intakes.
11. Maintenance work on irrigation networks in Raqqa continues, including cleaning 2,500 meters of canals, repairing facilities, and removing encroachments to improve water distribution and support agriculture.
12. The Hama Water and Sanitation Company restored two wells in Al-Qusour and Al-Karama neighborhoods, improving water supply for around 30,000 residents.
13. The Deir ez-Zor Electricity Company resumed operation of the turbines at the Al-Taym gas field to supply service lines and water stations following emergency repairs to a major transformer.
14. The Syrian Petroleum Company, in cooperation with the Syrian Atomic Energy Commission, carried out radiation assessment and protection work at oil storage facilities in Baniyas to prepare for decontamination and enhance workplace safety.
15. The Hama Water and Sanitation Company launched new water projects in Al-Hamra district, rehabilitating and restarting the Al-Hamra and Al-Lala wells after nearly 15 years, equipped with modern solar energy systems to provide drinking water for more than 10,000 residents.
16. The Qalidin spring water station in northwestern Hama returned to service after rehabilitation works and the installation of a solar energy system consisting of 255 solar panels, securing water supplies for more than 30,000 residents.
17. Homs Refinery resumed operation of Unit No. 21, known as the “Czech Unit,” following comprehensive maintenance carried out by national teams, alongside the commissioning of a new steam boiler known as the “Serbian Boiler,” in support of continuous production operations.
