Comprehensive Maintenance of the Sixth Turbine at Tishreen Dam to Ensure Power Continuity and Operational Reliability
The General Organization for the Euphrates Dam continues implementing the general maintenance program for the sixth turbine at the Tishreen Dam power plant. The works are carried out by its technical, engineering, and administrative personnel as part of ongoing efforts to maintain the plant's readiness and enhance its operational reliability.
The maintenance scope includes rehabilitating both main and auxiliary systems, such as welding the runner blades, servicing excitation, control, and drive systems, and overhauling the sixth cell in the switchyard. Additionally, the work covers the maintenance of bearings, cooling and oil circuits, and the main transformer to ensure high-efficiency operations.
These efforts contribute to boosting power generation reliability and elevating the station's readiness to serve the public grid, aligned with the organization's plan to maintain power system stability and support meeting consumer demand.
