A new power transformer has been put into service in Deir ez-Zor Governorate to support the existing transformer and add new capacity to the power grid, contributing to improving electricity supply for residents of the city and surrounding rural areas.
The operating transformer had been carrying loads of up to approximately 75 megawatts, while the new transformer provides additional support to the grid, with the potential to increase capacity and improve the stability of the electricity supply.
The Ministry of Energy, in cooperation with the Syrian Electricity Company, continues its efforts to enhance the efficiency of the power grid and improve electricity services across the governorates, translating its plans into tangible steps on the ground.
